Adjust the straps and turn the inlet cowl until it is in the nose up or nose down position.
CAUTION: IF THE INLET COWL IS PUT IN STORAGE IN THE NOSE UP
_______ POSITION, YOU MUST BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE TAI DUCT. IF THE TAI DUCT HITS OTHER OBJECTS, DAMAGE TO THE INLET COWL CAN OCCUR.

If the inlet cowl is put in storage in the nose up position, move the TAI duct (1) for the inlet cowl into the hole in the support (or clearance in the sandbags) as the inlet cowl is lowered to the support (Fig. 401).
(e)
Lower the inlet cowl on the platform or sandbags, and move the TAI duct if it is necessary.

(8) Remove the sling from the inlet cowl, if the same inlet cowl is not installed (Fig. 403).
(a) Remove the tension from the sling.

(1) Install the shear pins (5), washers (7), and nuts (6) to the engine flange A if they are not there.
(a) Tighten the nuts (6) to 50-75 pound-inches (5.6-8.5 newton-meters).
