Install the strut drain lines (1, 3, 6, 30, and 36) with the steps that follow (Fig. 407, views A, G and H):
(a)
Remove the caps from the strut drain lines (1, 3, 6, 30, and 36).
(b)
Connect the left and right forward mount drain lines (1 and 30) and elbows (2 and 31).
(c)
Connect the drain line (3) of the main strut.
(d)
Connect the raceway drain lines (6 and 36).

(8) Install the starter duct (39) with the steps that follow (Fig. 407, View I):
(a)
Remove the caps from the starter duct (39).
(b)
Install the starter duct (39) with the seals (38) and clamps (37).
(c)
Tighten the clamps (37) to 110-115 pound-inches (12.4-13.0 newton-meters).

(10) Connect the power feeder cable (2) with the steps that follow (Fig. 405):
(a) Remove the screws (6) and washers (7) which attach the terminal block cover (5) to the IDG.
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE LEADS FOR THE POWER FEEDER CABLE
TO THE CORRECT TERMINAL STUDS ON THE IDG. IF YOU
INCORRECTLY INSTALL THE LEADS, A MALFUNCTION OF THE
CIRCUIT OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE ROUND WASHERS BETWEEN THE
TERMINAL NUTS AND PHASE LEADS. DO NOT INSTALL THE WASHERS
BELOW THE PHASE LEADS BECAUSE THE HEAT FROM THE LOCAL
RESISTANCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TERMINAL BLOCK.
(b)
Attach the four leads for the power feeder cable (2) to the terminal studs on the IDG.
(c)
Attach the leads with the washers (3) and nuts (4) (install the washers between the nuts and leads). 1) Tighten the nuts (4) to 144-168 pound-inches (16.3-19.0
newton meters).
(d)
Install the terminal block cover (5) on the IDG with the screws (6) and washers (7). 1) Tighten the screws (6) to 20-22 pound-inches (2.3-2.5
newton-meters).
(e)
Put the power feeder cable in the hinged clamps (11 locations). 1) Close and attach the hinged clamps.

Connect these electrical connectors: D4230P (8), D4154P (9), D4208P (10), D4228P (11), D4216P (12), D4200P (13), D4232P (14), D8515P (25), D8336P (26), D8320P (27), D4224P (28); D8360P (27A); and D8350P (28A) (Fig. 407).

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WITH THE HYDRAULIC SUPPLY LINE. DO NOT MAKE THE HYDRAULIC SUPPLY LINE INTO A TIGHT COIL. IF THE HYDRAULIC SUPPLY LINE CLOSES AND HAS KINKS, THE HYDRAULIC FLUID SUPPLY WILL NOT FLOW CORRECTLY. IF THE HYDRAULIC FLUID SUPPLY IS NOT CORRECT, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE-DRIVEN PUMP CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:_______CLEAN THE HYDRUALIC FLUID LEAKAGE. IF THE LEAKAGE COLLECTS, THE HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE CORROSION TO THE PART.
(13) Connect the hydraulic lines with the steps that follow (Fig. 407, View H):
(a)
Remove the caps from the hydraulic drain line (34) and the
mating connector.
(b)
Connect the hydraulic drain line (34) to the connector.
1) Tighten the coupling.
