(1) For the applicable engine, open this circuit breaker and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6H19 PROBE HEAT ENG 1
2) 6H21 PROBE HEAT ENG 2
3) 6H23 PROBE HEAT ENG 3
4) 6H25 PROBE HEAT ENG 4

Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-04/201) or remove the fan cowl
panels (AMM 71-11-04/401).

Disconnect the thermal anti-ice (TAI) duct (4) for the fan case from the inlet cowl (1) (Fig. 401).
(a)
Remove the coupling (2) from the end of the TAI duct (4).
(b)
Discard the gasket (3).
CAUTION: INSTALL THE CAPS ON THE OPEN ENDS OF THE FAN CASE AND TAI
_______ DUCT IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE CAPS ON THE OPEN ENDS, CONTAMINATION WILL GET INTO THE TAI DUCTS AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(c) Install the cap on the open ends of the TAI duct (1) for the inlet cowl and the TAI duct (4) for the fan case.

(4) Disconnect the PT2/TT2 line (5) from the inlet cowl (4) (Fig. 402).
(a) Install the caps on the open ends of the PT2/TT2 line (5).

Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 2, and 3) from the inlet
cowl (4) (Fig. 402).
(a) Install the caps on the open ends of the electrical connectors (1, 2, and 3).
(6)
Install the inlet cowl sling (Fig. 403).
