WARNING:_______ DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE OPERATION OF
THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE
THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE
TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENTS OF THE DRAIN SYSTEM IF THE
_______ ENGINE IS HOT. HOT COMPONENTS CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:_______DO NOT LET HOT FLUIDS GET ON YOU. PUT ON GOGGLES AND EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTION OR LET THE ENGINE BECOME COOL. HOT FLUIDS CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:_______DO NOT LET THE FUEL OR OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. YOU CAN ABSORB POISONOUS MATERIALS FROM THE OIL THROUGH YOUR SKIN.
(b)
Open the louvered exhaust door (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(c)
Use a container to catch the fluids which come from the fluid collector.
(d)
Push up on the drain valve at the bottom of the fluid collector to drain the remaining fluid.
(e)
Close the louvered exhaust door (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(f)
Do the activation procedure for the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(g)
Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to start the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(h)
Run the engine at idle for 5 minutes.
(i)
Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to do the engine shutdown (AMM 71-00-00/201).

(k)
Open the louvered exhaust door (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(l)
Use a container to catch the fluids which come from the fluid collector.
(m)
Push up on the drain valve at the bottom of the fluid collector to drain the fluid that collected during the engine run.
(n)
Determine the volume of fluid in the container.
(o)
Divide this quantity by 5 minutes to determine the leakage rate.
(p)
Use the table that follows for the leakage limits and for the steps to correct the leakage:
