WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THE APPLICABLE ENGINE IGNITION CIRCUIT
_______ BREAKERS BEFORE YOU OPEN THE ENGINE FUEL CONT VALVE CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE IGNITER PLUGS CAN FIRE AUTOMATICALLY IF YOU DO NOT OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER HAS FUEL IN IT, AN INTERNAL ENGINE FIRE OR TAILPIPE FIRE CAN OCCUR. THE FIRE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel

Open the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the start valve (AMM 80-11-02/401).

Remove the starter QAD adapter (AMM 80-11-03/401).

Install the gearbox lock on the starter drive pad (Fig. 201).

Connect the splines on the gearbox lock with the starter drive pad. Put the gearbox lock against the starter drive pad.
