Open the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Disconnect the drain line from the source.
CAUTION: DISCONNECT ALL DRAIN LINE SECTIONS FROM THEIR SOURCES
_______ BEFORE YOU APPLY AN AIR PRESSURE. IF YOU APPLY AIR PRESSURE WITH A SECTION OF THE DRAIN LINE CONNECTED, THE AIR PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT AT THE SOURCE.
(a) If the drain line has more than one source, disconnect the drain lines from all sources. 1) Install the caps on all openings at the sources.

(6) Apply the air pressure to the drain line opening at the drain collector and make the drain line clear.
(a) Put a rag on the opening at the source to collect the unwanted materials.

Apply the air pressure to the drain line opening away from the source.
(c)
Remove the rag and the unwanted materials.
(d)
For the drain lines with more than one source, make each drain line section clear sequentially, with the caps on all other openings of the drain line sections at their sources.
(e)
If you can not make the drain line section clear with the air pressure, do the steps that follow: 1) Remove the drain line section. 2) Make the drain line clear with a piece of the wire.

Remove the cap(s) and connect the drain line to the source(s).

Make the overboard drain line clear.
(a)
Apply 20-30 psig air pressure to the overboard drain line at the exit end.
(b)
See that the overboard drain line is clear to the inlet of the overboard drain port.
(c)
Clean the port on the main overboard drain line.
(d)
Clean the fluid collector of the overboard drain line. 1) Remove the drain valve from the fluid collector with the 3/8 inch diameter.
2) Apply 20-30 psig air pressure to the fluid collector at the lower end. a) Make sure that the fluid collector is clear.
3) Clean the seal area.
4) Replace the drain valve on the fluid collector.
