Slowly increase the pressure until the OIL FILTER BYPASS light comes on. 1) The light must come on when the air pressure at the switch
is 25-27 psi (172-186 kPa).
(d)
When the light comes on, hold the pressure constant. 1) The OIL FILTER BYPASS light will be bright.
(e)
Put the LIGHTS switch on the center instrument panel to the DIM position. 1) The OIL FILTER BYPASS light must be dim.
(f)
Put the LIGHTS switch to the BRT position and the OIL FILTER BYPASS light will be bright.
(g)
For engine 1, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) P6 Load Control Center
a) MASTER DIM SECT 5
(h)
For engine 2, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) P6 Load Control Center
a) MASTER DIM SECT 2
(i)
The amber OIL FILTER BYPASS light must go off.
(j)
For engine 1, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) P6 Load Control Center
a) MASTER DIM SECT 5
(k)
For engine 2, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) P6 Load Control Center
a) MASTER DIM SECT 2
(l)
Slowly decrease the air pressure to the oil filter differential pressure switch.
(m)
The OIL FILTER BYPASS light must go off when the pressure decreases to 27-22 psi (187.2-151.7 kPa).
F. Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition

(1) Decrease the air pressure to 0 and disconnect the air pressure supply from the oil filter differential pressure switch.

(2) S 435-011-C00Connect the inlet pressure tube for the oil filter to the oil filter differential pressure switch.
(3) S 415-012-C00Close the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
(4) S 795-018-C00Do the idle leak check (AMM 71-00-00/501, Test No. 3).
(5) S 865-013-C00Remove the electrical power, if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201). (a) Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the differential pressure switch for the oil filter. The second task is the installation of the pressure switch.
B. The switch is mounted on a bracket attached to the lubrication unit.
