WARNING:_______DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. USE ENGINE OIL IN AREA WITH GOOD VENTILATION. ENGINE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH YOUR SKIN. ENGINE OIL FUMES CAN IRRITATE YOUR RESPIRATORY TRACT.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET ALKALINE CLEANING FLUID GET INTO THE ENGINE OIL.
_______ VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF THIS FLUID CAN CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Obey the above Warning and Caution throughout this procedure.

(2) Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

(3) Visually examine the engine oil tank for damage. (a) All nicks, cuts and scratches are permitted which do not go through the silicone layer of the oil tank.
NOTE:____ The silicone layer must be a minimum of 0.040 inch (1.02 mm) thick.
(b) (c) Damage that goes through the silicone layer to the metal must be repaired (AMM 79-11-01/801).Replace the oil tank (AMM 79-11-01/401) if three or more different damage areas go through the silicone layer to the metal and are:
- 0.015 inch (0.38 mm) deep - 0.375 inch (9.19 mm) long and - you can feel the damage with a 0.030 inch (0.760 mm) ball scriber.
(d) (e) (f) All dents are permitted which do not break the metal surface.Tanks with cracks in the metal must be replaced (AMM 79-11-01/401).Repair all loose or damaged areas of the silicone layer (AMM 79-11-01/801).

(4) Visually examine the oil tank for leaks. (a) Replace gaskets or tighten all oil tube fittings with leaks. (b) Replace the oil tank if it has a leak (AMM 79-11-01/401).
