 (5)  
Install the gasket, lightly lubricated with engine oil, on the studs on the fuel pump.

Remove the dust caps from the tubes.

Lightly lubricate the mounting studs (6 locations) on the fuel pump with grease.

Install the main oil/fuel heat exchanger on the fuel pump.

 (9)  
Install the nuts and washers (6 locations).


 (a)  Tighten the nuts to 120-140 pound-inches
 (13.6-15.8 Newton meters).

 CAUTION:_______USE TWO WRENCHES TO INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS: ONE TO HOLD THE NIPPLE AND ONE TO TIGHTEN THE NUT. IF YOU DO NOT USE TWO WRENCHES TO INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (10)
 Lightly lubricate the nipple on the servo fuel heater with engine oil.

 Connect the "fuel out" tube.

 (a)  
Tighten the coupling nuts at each end of the tube to
 650-770 pound-inches (74-87 Newton meters).


 (b)  
Safety the coupling nut at the MEC.

 Lightly lubricate the nipples on the servo fuel heater and fuel pump with engine oil.

 Install the "fuel in" tube.


 (a)  Make sure the tube is installed correctly and tighten the
 coupling nuts at the servo fuel heater and fuel pump to
 650-770 pound-inches (74-87 Newton meters).

 (14) Connect the "oil in" and "oil out" tubes to the servo fuel heater as follows:
 (a)  Make sure the flange mating surfaces are clean and in good
 condition.

(b)  
Install a gasket, lightly lubricated with engine oil, on each flange.

 (c)  
Lightly lubricate the tube bolt threads (4 locations each) with grease.

 (d)  
Attach the tubes with the bolts (4 locations each).


 1)  Tighten the bolts to 55-60 pound-inches (6.2-6.8 Newton meters).

 Lightly lubricate the drain nipple with engine oil.

 Connect the fuel drain tube to the main oil/fuel heat exchanger.


 (a)  Tighten the coupling nut to 180-200 pound-inches
 (20-23 Newton meters).

 (17) For engine No. 1, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 1

 (18) For engine No. 2, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 1

 (19) Do an engine leak check at idle power (AMM 71-00-00/501, Test No. 3).

 CAUTION: DO NOT PUT THE OIL THAT IS DRAINED FROM THE ENGINE BACK INTO
_______ THE ENGINE. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.

 Close the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
