(c)
Disconnect the oil supply tube from the oil tank (Fig. 703).

 1)  Keep the bolts and the gasket for the subsequent installation.

 (d)  
Connect the oil service cart to the oil tank supply port.

 (e)  
Supply oil through the oil supply port at a maximum of 43.5 psig (3 bars) for 2 minutes.

 (f)  
Inspect the screen on the oil tank suction tube for
 cleanliness.


 (g)  
If the screen is not clean, continue to supply oil throught the oil supply port until the screen is clean.

 (4)  Put the airplane in a serviceable condition:
 (a)  
Disconnect the oil service cart from the oil tank supply port.

 (b)  
Engines with the self-sealing drain plug, do these steps (Fig. 701): 1) Install a new O-ring on the magnetic plug. 2) Install a new O-ring on the self-sealing drain plug. 3) Install the self-sealing plug. 4) Tighten the self-sealing plug to a torque of 361 to 398

 inch-pounds (41 to 45 Nm).
 5) Install the magnetic plug.


 (c)  
Engines with the drain plug, do these steps (Fig. 702): 1) Install a new O-ring on the drain plug. 2) Install the drain plug. 3) Tighten the drain plug to a torque of 361 to 398 inch-

pounds (41 to 45 Nm).

 (d)
Use the bolts and gasket seal to install the oil supply tube.

 1)  Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 to 60 inch-pounds (6.3 to 6.8 Nm).

 (e)  
Fill the engine oil tank with oil (AMM 12-13-11/301).

OIL TANK - REPAIRS

 1.  General_______
 A. Repair of the oil tank is confined to the repair of the silicone layer.
 B. Repairs are done while the tank is on the engine.
 C. But, if a spare tank is available, think about replacement of the tank.
 NOTE: This is because of the time necessary for the layer to cure.

 D. Procedure
 S 018-002-C00
 (1) Open the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TANK METAL SURFACE WHEN YOU REMOVE

 THE LAYER.

 (2) Use a rotary wire brush to remove the loose layer.
 S 118-004-C00
 WARNING:_______DO NOT BREATHE THE GASES FOR A LONG TIME. METHYL ETHYL KETONE (MEK) IS POISONOUS AND MUST BE USED IN AN AREA SUFFICIENTLY OPEN TO THE AIR. IF YOUR SKIN TOUCHES MEK FOR A LONG TIME, MEK WILL:
 -BREAK DOWN SUBCUTANEOUS FAT
 -BREAKDOWN SKIN OIL
 -CAUSE DERMATITIS.
 (3) Fully clean the area to be repaired and the adjacent area with MEK.
