(9) Install the drain plug with a new O-ring lubricated with engine oil.
(a)
Tighten the drain plug to 43-48 pound-inches
(4.8-5.5 Newton meters).
(b)
Safety the drain plug with a lockwire.
E. Set the clogging indicator

(1) Do these steps to set the clogging indicator:
(a)
Manually remove the knurled retaining ring.
(b)
Remove the retaining ring and glass inspection bowl.
(c)
Push the red button on the clogging indicator to the retracted position.
NOTE: The button must stay in the retracted position.

(d)
Install the glass inspection bowl.
(e)
Lightly lubricate the knurled retaining ring with engine oil.
(f)
Install the knurled retaining ring with your hand.
(g)
Make sure that you cannot see the red indicator button.
(h)
Safety the retaining ring to the clogging indicator body with a lockwire.

Do the Engine Leak Check - Idle Power
(AMM 71-00-00/501, Test No. 3).

SCAVENGE OIL FILTER ELEMENT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is to remove the Scavenge Oil Filter Element. The second task is to install the Scavenge Oil Filter Element.
B. The scavenge oil filter element in the screw-on bowl can be replaced.
C. The scavenge oil filter is attached to the accessory gearbox at the 7 o'clock position.
