SCAVENGE OIL FILTER ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is to remove the Scavenge Oil Filter Assembly. The second task is to install the Scavenge Oil Filter Assembly.
B. The scavenge oil filter assembly is attached to the aft face of the
accessory gearbox at the 7 o'clock position.
C. The assembly is replaced if it has damage or if the clogging indicator is unserviceable.

A. Equipment
(1) Container - 1 quart (1 liter) capacity, suitable for oil.

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Put the container below the scavenge oil filter assembly to catch the oil.
(3)
Remove the oil temperature bulb (AMM 79-34-01/401).

Disconnect the oil pressure tube from the assembly.

(a) Discard the O-ring.

(5) Disconnect the inlet and outlet tubes from the assembly.
(a) Keep the gaskets.

(6) Remove the bolts (2 locations) that attach the assembly to the gearbox.
