 WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE OIL SYSTEM UNTIL THE PRESSURE GOES TO ZERO.
_______ THE PRESSURE GOES TO ZERO APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES AFTER AN ENGINE SHUTDOWN. A PRESSURIZED ENGINE CAN RELEASE A SPRAY OF HOT OIL THAT CAN BURN YOU.
 WARNING:_______DO NOT LET HOT OIL GET ON YOU. PUT ON GOGGLES AND OTHER EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTION OR LET THE ENGINE BECOME COOL. HOT OIL CAN BURN YOU.
 WARNING:_______DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. USE ENGINE OIL IN AREA WITH GOOD VENTILATION. ENGINE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN B ABSORBED THROUGH YOUR SKIN. ENGINE OIL FUMES CAN IRRITATE YOU RESPIRATORY TRACT.
 CAUTION: DO NOT LET ALKALINE CLEANING FLUID GET INTO THE ENGINE OIL.
_______ VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF THIS FLUID CAN CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 CAUTION: DO NOT LET HOT OIL GET ON THE ENGINE OR OTHER COMPONENTS.
_______ IMMEDIATELY CLEAN THE COMPONENT IF OIL FALLS ON IT. OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO PAINT AND RUBBER.
 CAUTION: DO NOT PUT THE OIL THAT IS DRAINED FROM THE ENGINE BACK INTO
_______ THE ENGINE.

Obey the above Warnings and Cautions through all this procedure.

Make sure the start levers are in the CUTOFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).


 (a)  Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the BAT switch.

Make sure the FUEL VALVE CLOSED light on the pilots' overhead panel, P5, is on.

For engine No. 1, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

 (6)  For engine No. 2, open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 2

 (7)  Remove the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
 (a)  Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Put a container below the fuel pump and MEC.

 CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS; ONE TO HOLD
_______ THE NIPPLE AND ONE TO LOOSEN THE NUT. IF YOU DO NOT USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (10)
 Disconnect the coupling nut for the "fuel out" tube from the servo fuel heater.

 Loosen, but do not disconnect, the tube coupling nut at the opposite end of the "fuel out" tube.

 Remove the "fuel in" tube.

 Remove the bolts (4 locations) from each flange to disconnect the "oil in" and "oil out" tubes at the servo fuel heater.


 (a)  Keep the gaskets and use them in the installation if they are in good condition.

 Disconnect the coupling nut for the fuel drain tube from the main oil/fuel heat exchanger.

 (15)
 Remove the nuts and washers (6 locations) that attach the heat exchanger to the fuel pump.
