 (4)  Disconnect the tee fittings from the transmitter.
 (a)  Discard the O-rings.

Remove the nut and washer that attach the oil pressure transmitter to the mounting bracket.

Remove the oil pressure transmitter.

If you replace the oil pressure transmitter, remove and keep the union at each end of the transmitter.

Install dust caps in the open ends of the tubes and oil pressure transmitter openings.

 D. Procedure (Fig. 401)

 (1)  
Remove the dust caps.

 S 434-020-C00

 (2)  
If you install a replacement transmitter, lubricate the threads of the unions with engine oil and install one at each end of the transmitter.

 (3)  
Install the oil pressure transmitter in the mounting bracket with the mounting nut and washer.


 (a)  Tighten the nut with your hand.

Install new O-rings, lubricated with engine oil, on the union at each end of the oil pressure transmitter.

Lubricate the threads of the unions with engine oil and connect the tee fittings.

 (6)  
Lubricate the threads of the tube coupling nut with engine oil and install the TGB vent pressure tube.

 (a)  
Tighten each end of the tube.

 (b)  
Tighten the mounting nut and safety it with a lockwire.

 

 (7)  
Attach the electrical connector to the oil pressure transmitter.
