 (18) Install the inlet and outlet pressure tubes to the oil filter bypass pressure switch and scavenge filter.
 NOTE: Use new o-rings that are lubricated with engine oil.

 (a)  
Tighten the bolts of the inlet and outlet pressure tubes of the scavenge oil filter to 50-60 pound-inches (5.6-6.8 Newton meters).

 (b)  
Tighten the bolts of the inlet and outlet pressure tubes of the oil filter bypass pressure switch.

 Connect the electrical connector to the oil filter bypass pressure switch.

 A.  This procedure has one task: Breakaway Torque Check for the Drive Shaft of the Lubrication Unit.
 B.  You must remove the lubrication unit to do the check. The lubrication unit is found on the accessory gearbox at the 6 o'clock position.

 (1)
Remove the lubrication unit (AMM 79-21-01/401).

 (2)
Do a check for breakaway torque.

 (a)
Install the adapter on the splined end of the drive shaft.

 (b)
Measure the breakaway torque of the shaft.

 (c)
If the torque is more than 10 pound-inches


 (1.14 Newton meters), replace the lubrication unit.

 (3)
Install the lubrication unit (AMM 79-21-01/401).
