OIL FILTER BYPASS WARNING SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. An operational test is not given for the oil filter bypass warning system.
(1) If the OIL FILTER BYPASS light comes on, you must replace the oil filter pressure switch.
B. A system test is given to make sure the system operates correctly after you replace the oil filter differential pressure switch or bypass warning light.
C. It also makes sure the system precision is satisfactory.

A. Equipment
(1)
Dry air pressure source - adjustable, 0-35 psi
(0-240 kPa) (incorporating vent valve, shutoff
valve and gauge with | 2% accuracy).
(2)
Test equipment, Engine fuel/oil pressure switch
