(2) FOR THE SIMMONDS TESTER;
Do the Calibration Test of the Oil Quantity Indicators
(a)
Adjust the screw marked "E" on the back of the oil quantity indicator until the pointer reads 0 gallons.
(b)
Press the OIL QTY TEST switch momentarily and release.
(c)
Adjust the "E" screw again, if it is necessary, to make the pointer read 0 gallons or liters.
(d)
If the pointer does not move in a downscale direction when the OIL QTY TEST switch is pressed, troubleshoot the system (AMM 71-00-55/101).
CAUTION: DO NOT LEAVE THE TESTER IN THE MEASURE INT POSITION WITH
_______ THE POWER TO THE INDICATOR ON FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES. THE INDICATOR WILL RUN TO A POINT BELOW 0 GALLONS WHILE THE TESTER IS IN THE MEASURE INT POSITION. THIS IS NORMAL. HOWEVER, DAMAGE TO THE INDICATOR CAN OCCUR IF THERE IS A COMPLETE LOSS OF INPUT SIGNAL FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
(e)
Switch the tester FUNCT switch to the MEASURE INT position.
(f)
Adjust the TU knob to read 84.7 pf for indicators displayed in gallons and 84.29 pf displayed in liters on the LCD display.

(g)
Put the FUNCT switch on the tester to the SIM TU and COMP
position.
(h)
Adjust the screw marked "F" on the back of the indicator until the pointer reads 4.25 gallons or 16.15 liters.
(i)
Press the OIL QTY TEST switch momentarily and release.
(j)
Adjust the "F" screw again to return the pointer to
4.25 gallons or 16.15 liters, if it is necessary.
(k)
Switch the FUNCT switch on the tester to the MEASURE INT
position.
(l)
Adjust the TU SIMULATOR to read 21.4 pf on the LCD display.
(m)
Switch the FUNCT switch to SIM TU and COMP position.
(n)
Press the OIL QTY TEST switch momentarily and release.
(o)
Adjust the "E" screw to read 0 gallons or liters, if it is
necessary.

(3) FOR THE GULL TESTER; Do the Calibration Test of the Oil Quantity Indicators
(a)
Adjust the screw marked "E" on the back of the oil quantity
indicator until the pointer reads 0 gallons.
(b)
Press the OIL QTY TEST switch momentarily and release.
(c)
Adjust the "E" screw again, if it is necessary, to make the
pointer read 0 gallons or liters.
(d)
If the pointer does not move in a downscale direction when the OIL QTY TEST switch is pressed, troubleshoot the system (AMM 71-00-55/101).

Adjust the 15 - 390 SIMULATORS PROBE knob to read 84.7 pf for indicators displayed in gallons and 84.29 pf displayed in liters on the LCD display.
(g)
Put the CAPACITANCE FUNCTION switch on the tester to the A/C + PROBE SIM and + COMP SIM position.
(h)
Adjust the screw marked "F" on the back of the indicator until the pointer reads 4.25 gallons or 16.15 liters.
(i)
Press the OIL QTY TEST switch momentarily and release.
(j)
Adjust the "F" screw again to return the pointer to
4.25 gallons or 16.15 liters, if it is necessary.
(k)
Switch the CAPACITANCE FUNCTION switch on the tester to the SIM SET - PROBE position.
(l)
Adjust the 15 - 390 SIMULATORS PROBE to read 21.4 pf on the LCD display.
