Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Examine the main oil/fuel heat exchanger for this type of damage:
(a)
Cracks in all areas.
1) If there are cracks, replace the main oil/fuel heat exchanger (AMM 79-21-02/401).
(b)
Dents, gouges and scratches in the external sealing faces.
1) If there are dents, gouges or scratches in the external sealing faces, replace the main oil/fuel heat exchanger (AMM 79-21-02/401).

(3) Close the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

OIL SUPPLY FILTER ELEMENT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The oil supply filter is found behind an access cover in the lubrication
unit.
B. You can clean the filter element and use it again
(Ref CFMI Component Maintenance Manual).
C. This procedure includes instructions to set the clogging indicator.

2. Remove the Oil Supply Filter Element____________________________________
A. Equipment
(1) Container - 1 quart (1 liter) capacity for oil.

Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Put the container below the oil supply filter to collect the oil from the filter.

WARNING: DO NOT GET THE HOT OIL ON YOUR SKIN WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL
_______ THE FILTER. THE OIL IS VERY HOT AND CAN CAUSE BAD BURNS.
DO NOT LET THE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. IF THE OIL IS ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:_______CLEAN ALL OIL FROM THE PAINTED SURFACES. THE OIL WILL MAKE THE
PAINT BECOME SOFT AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(3)
Remove the filter drain plug and let the oil drain from the filter.
(4)
Remove and discard the O-ring from the drain plug.
