WARNING:_______DO NOT LET THE ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN. IF THE ENGINE OIL STAYS ON YOUR SKIN, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
BE CAREFUL AROUND THE ENGINE OIL SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY AFTER ENGINE SHUT-DOWN. THE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE STAYS HIGH FOR SOME TIME AFTER THE ENGINE SHUT-DOWN AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION: IMMEDIATELY CLEAN OFF ALL ENGINE OIL THAT FALLS ON THE PAINTED
_______ SURFACES AND RUBBER PARTS OF THE AIRPLANE. THE SPECIFIED OIL FOR THIS OIL SYSTEM WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PAINTED SURFACES AND SOME TYPES OF RUBBER AND MUST NOT BE PERMITTED TO TOUCH THESE PARTS OF THE ENGINE.
USE VERY CLEAN CONTAINERS AND EQUIPMENT. OIL CONTAMINATION BY SMALL QUANTITIES OF SOME ALKALINE CLEANERS CAN CAUSE A FAILURE OF THE SYNTHETIC OIL.
DO NOT PUT THE OIL THAT IS DRAINED FROM THE ENGINE BACK INTO THE ENGINE.
REMOVE AND INSTALL THE MCD'S ONE AT A TIME TO PREVENT AN ERROR IN IDENTIFICATION OF THE SOURCE OF THE MATERIAL ON THE MCD.

Make sure the area around the MCD is clean before you remove it.

Put a container below the MCD.
(a) ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 79-054; ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 79-055; Move the retention bar for the MCD's to the right and up to get access to the MCD's (Fig. 201).

(4) Install the removal/installation tool for the magnetic plug.
(a)
Push the spring-loaded lever to retract the locking pin.
(b)
Install the end of the tool with slots on the handle of the
magnetic plug.
(c)
Release the lever to engage the locking pin through the hole in the magnetic plug handle.
(d)
Pull down on the tool to make sure it is correctly installed.

Push the tool and magnetic plug in while you turn it one quarter turn counterclockwise.
(6)
Pull down on the tool to remove the MCD.

Push the spring-loaded lever to release the magnetic plug from the removal/installation tool.

Examine the magnetic plug and scavenge screen very carefully for unusual or unwanted material (AMM 79-00-00/601).
NOTE: Make sure that you do not change the particles.
