Lubricate the threads of the clamp bolt with grease.

 (d)  
Install the nut (the nut must be on the side of the identification plate).

Tighten the nut to 55-60 pound-inches (6.2-6.8 Newton meters).

 Connect the aft scavenge tube, forward scavenge tube and lube supply tube to the lubrication unit.

Do a check that the mating surfaces are clean and in a good condition.

Install the gasket, lubricated with a light layer of engine oil, on each connecting flange.

 (c)  
Lubricate the bolts with grease.

 (d)  
Install four bolts in each connecting flange.

 (e)  
Tighten the bolts to 55-60 pound-inches (6-7 Newton meters).

 (12) Install the AGB oil supply tube:
 (a)  
Put the tube in its position.

 (b)  
Lubricate the threads with engine oil.

 (c)  
Tighten the union nuts to 270-300 pound-inches (30-35 Newton meters). 1) Install and lockwire.

 (13) Connect the forward and aft tubes of the sump oil supply to the lubrication unit.
 (a)  
Lubricate the threads with engine oil.

 (b)  
Tighten the union nut of the aft engine sump supply tube to 270-300 pound-inches (30-35 Newton meters). 1) Install lockwire.

 (c)  
Tighten the union nut of the forward sump supply tube to 450-550 pound-inches (50-60 Newton meters). 1) Install lockwire.

 (14) Install the inlet tube of the scavenge oil filter.
 (a)  
Do a check that the mating surfaces are clean and in a good condition.

 (b)  
Install the gasket, lubricated with a light layer of engine oil, on each connecting flange.

 (c)  
Attach the tube to the filter assembly for scavenge oil with four bolts that are lubricated with grease. 1) Tighten the bolts by hand.

 (d)  
Attach the tube to the lubrication unit with three bolts that are lubricated with grease.


 NOTE: Do not install a bolt in the hole in the lower aft

 flange.

 1) Tighten the bolts by hand.

 (15) Install the mounting bracket of the oil filter bypass pressure switch, with the switch attached, on the lubrication unit.
 (a)  
Put the bracket in position on the lubrication unit.

 (b)  
Attach the bracket to the aft end of the lubrication unit with two bolts.

 (c)  
Attach the bracket to the lower aft corner of the inlet tube flange of the scavenge oil filter.


 NOTE: Do this with a bolt that is lubricated with grease.

 1) ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 79-028;
 Install the washer on the bolt.
 2) Tighten the bolt by hand.

 (16) Tighten the bolts of the inlet tube flange of the scavenge oil filter to 55-60 pound-inches (6-7 Newton meters).

 (17) Install the clamp that attaches the supply tube to the inlet tube of the scavenge oil filter.
 (a)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt with grease.

 (b)  
Tighten the clamp nut to 100-110 pound-inches
 (11.3-12.4 Newton meters).
