B. The inspection of the oil system includes external leak checks which are done during trouble-shooting.
C. When you do trouble-shooting of an oil consumption problem, an inspection for an internal oil leak could be necessary.
D. This includes a borescope inspection of the HPC.
E. For identification of a bearing failure and other failures of the oil system components, the inspection of the magnetic chip detector is given.
NOTE: The magnetic drain plugs are replaced with standard drain plugs
____ per CFMI SB 79-057. The magnetic drain plug has not proven useful in service.
