Install three bolts to secure each inboard upper corner of compartment to overhead structure support plates (Detail E).
(3)
Support weight of compartment and accomplish the following steps.
(a)
Insert slide bolts (Detail F) located under inboard edge of compartment into adjacent compartments. Bolts may not slide freely and require driving force, use care to avoid damage.
CAUTION: RELEASE PIN IN END OF SLIDE BOLT MUST BE HELD IN DEPRESSED POSITION DURING INSTALLATION OF BOLT.
(b)
Slide compartment outboard fitting along track segment and engage with adjacent track segment. Simultaneously rotate short turnbuckle into position in fitting (View 1).
(c)
Install bolt securing lower end of short turnbuckle to aft fitting to support weight of compartment.
(4)
Install bolts securing lower ends of diagonal turnbuckles to outboard fittings. (See view 1 for attach points.)
(5)
Install locking plugs and bolts to secure outboard fittings to track segments. Make sure half moon protrusions of locking plug are fully engaged and locked into compartment track.
NOTE: Only one locking plug is required in aft hole of double lug and spliced lower attach fittings except as noted below.
(a)
At forward LH and RH compartments (STA 380) install locking plug in forward end only of double lug fitting.
(b)
At aft LH and RH compartments (STA 902) install locking plug at forward end and aft end of spliced attach fittings.

Where required, install splice bar and filler channel in PSU support beam (Detail G).
(7)
Insert vertical trim strips (Detail C) into tracks between compartments from top down. Considerable hand pressure may be required.
(8)
Install horizontal trim strip below door (Section A-A) by placing top of strip in recess, lift slightly and press lower edge into place.
9. Adjust Door Position (Doors with Quick-Release Cam)
A. Adjust clearance between door and bin (Fig. 202).
(1)
Loosen three bolts securing hinge frames to bin at each end of bin.
(2)
Move top of door inboard-outboard along bolt slots to set equal space between door and bin edge from bottom to top of door.
(3)
Tighten bolts.
B. Adjust height of door
(1)
Loosen four bolts in each door fitting (Section E-E).
(2)
Move door up or down until lower edge aligns with flange of support beam at top of horizontal trim strip.
(3)
Tighten bolts.
C. Adjust height of one end of door (alternate method) (Fig. 202 View 2).
(1)
Loosen bolt securing cam to hinge frame.
(2)
Move bolt and linkage inboard-outboard to raise or lower end of door to align with other end, or with all other doors.
(3)
Tighten bolt.
D. Adjust door open position (Fig. 202)
(1)
Open several doors to highest position.
(2)
Turn screw at outboard end of articulated hinge frame until inboard edge of door aligns with adjacent doors.
10. Restore Airplane to Normal
A. Install end closures (End compartments only) (Ref. 25-24-512).
B. Install curved ceiling panels above compartments if removed (Ref. 25-21-341).
C. Install temperature sensor wire bundle (compartments having temperature sensors) (Detail D).
(1)
Position electric wire bundle and attach connectors (3 places).
(2)
Install wire bundle clamps and ties all locations.
(3)
Close RIGHT AUTO TEMP CONT circuit breaker.
D. Raise Carry-All Compartment door to operating position (Removable Pin Door Lowering).
(1)
Install hinge linkage pins (Detail A).
(a)
Raise door to open position and align holes in linkage arms.
(b)
Insert pins and ensure that they are internally locked in place.
(2)
Install hinge linkage cover (Detail B).
(a)
Press cover over bracket hinge mounting bracket until Nylatch fasteners are fully inserted (Section B-B). Do not press on plunger of fastener until body is fully inserted in bracket.
(b)
Press in plungers of Nylatch fasteners to expand body and lock fasteners in place.
