F. Remove galley seal from seal retainer.
G. If galley is to be replaced, remove miscellaneous equipment attached to galley, such as magazine rack on galley No. 3.
NOTE: Retain equipment removed in safe place.
H. Remove exterior fillet seal and remove galley unit.
I. On galley No. 3 with hard point tiedown fittings, raise galley enough to remove stabilizer fitting, remove floor seal from base of galley and remove galley unit.
5. Install Aft Galley (Fig. 401)
A. Verify tie rod assembly is attached to the overhead structure and positioned to clear galley during installation.
NOTE: End of tie rod with lockwasher and lockwire must be attached to fitting in ceiling structure. Moisture trap must be near upper end of tie rod.
B. Protect floor track against corrosion (Ref 51-21-92) before placing galley unit in position.
C. Check galley flange for proper fit. Flange profile should approximate cabin interior contour and be approximately 1/2 inch from cabin lining panels.
NOTE: If original galley is being reinstalled no trimming of flange should be required. If a replacement galley is being installed, it may be necessary to fit the galley profile to the airplane interior contour as described in the following procedure.
(1)
Move galley inboard.
(2)
Trim galley flange as required.
(3)
Place galley in position.
D. Install Floor Track Fittings (Galleys with grease filled fittings).
(1)
Insert anchor fitting and plungers into floor tracks through wells in galley floor.
NOTE: Check that plunger is withdrawn sufficiently inside fitting to clear tabs on floor track.
(2)
Screw plunger down finger-tight until it bottoms in track. Back off one turn from bottom.
(3)
Tighten jamnut on plunger from 95 to 110 pound-inches.
(4)
Install anchor flange and tighten from 30 to 50 pound-inches. Check that at least one external thread is visible on anchor fitting after tightening flange.
(5)
Place lockscrew in hole in anchor flange so that it will go into floor track. Bottom out lockscrew in floor track and back off one thread.
(6)
Fill attachment well completely with grease.
(7)
Install watertight cover on galley attachment well.

E. Adjust and attach tie rod to fittings on top of galley.
(1)
Adjust tie rod until bolt can be inserted to connect tie rod to attachment fitting.
NOTE: Tie rod adjustment may not be necessary if galley was not replaced. Adjust tie rod only at end without lockwasher and lockwire. Threads of end fitting must be visible through inspection hole in tie rod body.
(2)
Tighten nut at adjusted end of assembly sufficiently to remove slack in threads.
(3)
Install tie rod connecting bolt, washer and nut and tighten.
F. Connect ground jumper wire between top of galley and airplane structure.
NOTE: Jumper connections must be clean to provide adequate electrical ground.
G. Connect electrical power connectors above galley.
H. Install galley seal on seal retainer. Check that galley seal makes smooth continuous contact with galley.
I. On galleys with drain floor adapter,
(1)
Install galley drain floor adapter.
(2)
Install galley drain hose on floor adapter and tighten clamp securing hose in place.
(3)
Apply parting agent to drain floor well and fill well approximately 0.5-inch deep with sealant.
