Remove grease from attachment well as required for access to fitting.
(3)
Remove setscrew from anchor flange.
(4)
Remove anchor flange.
(5)
Remove jamnut from plunger.
(6)
Screw plunger up inside anchor fitting. Use an allen wrench or similar tool if necessary.
(7)
Move anchor fitting and plunger forward or aft 1/2 inch to disengage anchor fitting. Remove plunger and anchor fitting from floor track.
(8)
Stow removed items in galley to prevent loss of parts.

G. On galleys with tiedown floor fittings, remove nut and washer from tiedown stud.
H. Remove galley seal from seal retainer.
I. If galley is to be replaced, remove miscellaneous equipment attached to galley.
NOTE: Retain equipment removed in safe place.
J. Remove fillet seal from around base of galley as required and remove galley unit.
5. Install Forward Galleys (Fig. 401)
A. Clean plastic liquid barrier on floor in galley area.
B. Repair liquid barrier if necessary (Ref Chapter 53, Passenger Cabin Floor).
C. Protect floor tracks against corrosion (Ref 51-21-92) before placing galley unit in position.
CAUTION: USE CARE TO AVOID DAMAGING PLASTIC LIQUID BARRIER ON FLOOR IN GALLEY AREA.
D. Verify tie rod assembly in galley No. 2 area is attached to the overhead structure and
positioned to clear galley during installation.
NOTE: End of tie rod with lockwasher and lockwire must be attached to fitting in ceiling structure. Moisture trap must be near upper end of tie rod.
E. On galley No. 1 fasten tie rod assembly to fitting on upper galley using bolt, washer and nut. Position tie rod assembly to clear ceiling during installation.
NOTE: End of tie rod assembly with lockwasher and lockwire must be attached to fitting at top of galley No. 1. Moisture trap must be near upper end of assembly.
F. Check galley flange for proper trim. Flange profile should approximate cabin interior contour and be approximately 1/2 inch from cabin lining panels.
NOTE: If original galley is being reinstalled no trimming of flange should be required. If a replacement galley is being installed, it may be necessary to fit the galley profile to the airplane interior contour as described in the following procedure.
(1)
Move galley inboard.
(2)
Trim galley flange as required.
(3)
Place galley in position.

G. Install floor track attachment fittings.
(1)
Install anchor fitting into floor track cutouts.
NOTE: Check that the plunger is screwed up inside the anchor fitting far enough to clear tabs on floor track cutouts.
(2)
Move fitting forward or aft 1/2 inch to engage anchor fitting in floor tracks. Check that plunger is centered above a cutout in the floor track.
(3)
Screw plunger down finger-tight until it bottoms in floor track. Back plunger off one thread from bottom.
(4)
Install jamnut on plunger and tighten from 95 to 110 pound-inches.
(5)
Install anchor flange and tighten from 30 to 50 pound-inches. Check that at least one external thread is visible on anchor fitting after tightening flange.
(6)
Place lockscrew in hole in anchor flange so that it will go into floor track. Bottom out lockscrew in floor track and back off one thread.
(7)
Fill attachment well completely with grease.
(8)
Install watertight cover on galley attachment well.
H. On galleys with tiedown floor fittings,
(1)
Fill track cavity in tiedown cup with grease.
(2)
Position stud in track with fitting and install washer and nut.
I. Install floor drain (if applicable).
(1)
Install floor drain adapter in floor.
(2)
Install drain hose on floor adapter.
(3)
On galley No. 1, fill well around drain adapter with sealant.
J. Install tie rod assembly at top of galley, obtaining access through upper galley structure.
