0.75 士0.10 inch.
F.  Lower each panel with care so as not to disturb position of latches and tighten screws to secure each latch to support beam.
G.  Raise ceiling panels to the closed position as described in par. 2.
H.  Rotate slide bolt in each outboard latch as necessary to approximately align outboard edges of ceiling panels.
NOTE:  This step will require repeated lowering and raising of ceiling panels. A ceiling panel should be lowered for access to slide bolts, then raised to check alignment with other panels.
I.  Loosen four screws near inboard end of ceiling hinged support in two locations.
NOTE:  Steps I through N provide instructions for adjusting position of the hinged support assembly to which main cargo door area panels are attached. These adjustments provide the means of locating all four main cargo door area panels in the approximate position as a unit. Final adjustment of individual panels can then be obtained at the outboard latches as described in step O.

J.
Move hinged support assembly inboard or outboard as necessary to align surfaces of ceiling panels with overhead stowage compartments. These surfaces should be aligned within 士 0.02 inch and inboard edges should overlap of air conditioning outlet extrusion a minimum of 0.50 inch.

K.
Tighten four screws near inboard end of ceiling hinged support in two locations to secure inboard/outboard adjustment.

L.
Loosen two screws on each outboard support block.

M.
Slide support blocks inboard or outboard as necessary to provide a gap between stowage compartments and ceiling panels of 0.30 inch with support block in contact with sloping surface of the cargo door bracket.

N.
Tighten two screws on each outboard support block.

O.
Adjust individual main cargo door area panels by rotating slide bolts in outboard latches to obtain a gap of 0.30 (士0.03) inch between ceiling panel and overhead stowage compartment.

NOTE:  For this adjustment, access to the outboard latches can be obtained by lowering panels adjacent to the panel being adjusted. Refer to Curved Ceiling Panel -Maintenance Practices.
P.  Measure and record height above floor level of outboard edge of ceiling panels at locations of two hinged support arms.
Q.  Open main cargo door as described in Chapter 52, Main Cargo Door and install safety barrier across door opening.
R.  Again measure height above floor level of outboard edge of ceiling panels at locations of two hinged support arms, with panels in the up position.
S.
Vertical travel of outboard edge of ceiling panel should be 3.04 (士0.25) inches at location of forward support arm. At location of aft support arm, vertical travel should be

3.52 (士0.25) inches.

T.
If adjustment of vertical travel is required at either support arm, loosen two screws securing support arm stop angle to structure at that location.

NOTE:  Access to stop can be obtained by lowering adjacent curved ceiling panel as described in Curved Ceiling Panel -Maintenance Practices.

U.
Move stop angle up or down as required to provide ceiling panel vertical travel of 3.04 (士0.25) inches at forward support arm or 3.52 (士0.25) inches at aft support arm.

V.
Hold stop angle in position and tighten two screws to secure stop angle to support structure.

W.
Remove safety barrier from cargo door opening and close main cargo door as described in Chapter 52, Main Cargo Door.

X.
Adjust stops on upper rail of overhead support structure system located on main cargo door.

(1)
Loosen two screws securing stop angle to upper rail of overhead support system.

(2)
Slide stop angle up using finger pressure only, until foam pad is compressed against ceiling support beam as shown in figure 502.

(3)
Hold stop angle in this position and tighten two screws to secure in place.
