PASSENGER CABIN TEMPERATURE SENSOR AIR INLET GRILLE -REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
EFFECTIVITY
Wide-Body Look and Carry-All Compartment Interior
1. General
A. Maintaining unobstructed flow of cabin air around the passenger cabin temperature sensor is necessary for optimum operation of the temperature control system. For this reason it is essential to keep the sensor air inlet grille clean.
B. In order to clean the grille, it must be removed from the forward lowered ceiling end cap panel. To avoid possibility of damaging the grille on removal, a simple tool may be fabricated from either a thin piece of spring steel or heat treated aluminum (Fig. 401).
C. For airplanes with Carry-All Compartments insert thin bladed tool outboard of grille trim plate and pull inboard. Proceed with following instructions for Wide-Body Look airplane.
2. Remove Air Inlet Grille (Wide-Body Look Interior)
A. Insert tabs of tool between end cap panel and flange of grille. Center tool with respect to the grille vertical edges. Grasp center of tool, and pull straight out away from panel surface. Be careful that force exerted is approximately the same on both ends of the grille.
CAUTION: STUDS ON THE GRILLE FIT INTO FASTENERS ON THE END CAP PANEL. UNLESS THE FORCE IS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED, THE STUDS MAY BE BROKEN AND DAMAGE THE GRILLE BEYOND REPAIR.
3. Install Air Inlet Grille (Wide-Body Look Interior)
A. Orient air inlet grille so that louver direction is downward.
B. Locate grille so that studs are in line with fasteners and press evenly toward end cap panel until flanges are flush with panel.

CLASS PARTITION - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove Class Partition (Fig. 401)
A. Remove coat closet shelf and disconnect coat rods from left-hand class partition
(Ref 25-24-361, R/I).
B. Loosen nut on attachment stud of each floor track attachment and remove studs from floor tracks.
C. Unsnap curtain assembly from partition.
D. Slide bottom of partition forward or aft and lower partition to disengage it from outboard and upper supports and header assembly. Use care to avoid damaging partitions.
E. If required, remove outboard supports by removing screws and separating support arm and clamp plate. Reinstall screws in support arm and clamp plate to prevent loss of parts.
F. Remove header assembly, if required.
(1)
Open overhead stowage compartment door.
(2)
Remove screw attaching upper support to support angle and remove upper supports and header assembly.
NOTE: Screw may be reinstalled through shim and support clevis to prevent loss of parts.
2. Install Class Partition (Fig. 401)
A. If not already in place, install header assembly and upper supports.
(1)
Open overhead stowage compartment door.
(2)
Place header assembly and upper supports in position by slipping support clevis onto support angle above stowage compartment.
(3)
Place shim between clevis and support angle to provide adequate clearance for operation of stowage compartment door. Secure upper support and header assembly by installing screw through clevis, shim, and support angle.
NOTE: Shim may be omitted if this provides proper clearance for stowage compartment door operation.
