C.  The same steps are required for each section of a two piece PSU as for a full size unit.
2.  Lower PSU and Spacer Panel (Fig. 201)
A.  Insert small rod or similar tool into hole near each inboard corner of PSU.
NOTE: Care must be taken not to scratch surface of PSU around latch access holes.

C.  Lower PSU until it is supported by lanyard. Lanyard has hooks at intermediate position and at ends.
D.  Push spacer panel outboard to disengage hooks at support beam. Lower spacer panel until supported by lanyard.

D.  Remove spacer panels before removing PSU if both are to be removed.
(1)
Unhook lanyard from hole in carry-all compartment beam.

(2)
Depress plunger on each outboard support clamp; lift clamp clear of air outlet extrusion and remove spacer panel.

E.  Remove PSU in same manner as spacer panel.
CAUTION:  DO NOT ALLOW PSU TO FALL BEYOND LANYARD LENGTH. PSU MAY BE DAMAGED IN CLAMP AREA.
F.  If PSU is not to be reinstalled, check low-pressure oxygen system to ensure integrity of oxygen system (Ref 35-21-0 A/T).
5.  Install PSU and Spacer Panel (Fig. 201)
A.  Install PSU before installing spacer panels if both have been removed.
(1)
Support PSU and hook lanyard in hole of carry-all compartment beam.

(2)
Position PSU, depress plungers on clamps and place clamps on air outlet extrusion. Allow PSU to hang at full length of lanyard.

(3)
Position forward clamp and engage button in hole in air outlet extrusion. The hole selected must locate PSU so that oxygen mask reference line does not fall forward of aft side of fully-reclined back of seat directly ahead. Oxygen mask reference line is 7.55 inches aft of forward end of PSU.

WARNING:  ALLOWING REFERENCE LINE TO FALL FORWARD OF SEAT BACK AHEAD COULD CAUSE DROPPED MASK TO BE TAKEN BY WRONG PASSENGER, THUS LEAVING A PASSENGER WITHOUT OXYGEN.
NOTE:  It is permissible for oxygen mask to fall slightly forward of oxygen mask reference line (e.g., because of curvature of tubing), provided mask does not touch passenger seated ahead.
B.  Install spacer panel on air outlet extrusion in same manner as PSU.
C.  Raise spacer panel, push outboard and release, to engage hooks at inboard end of support beam.
