NOTE: Adjust tie rod assembly only at end without lockwasher and lockwire.
(2)
Tighten nut at adjusted end of assembly sufficiently to remove slack in threads.
(3)
Install tie rod connecting bolt, nut and washer and tighten.
K. Connect ground jumper wire between top of galley and airplane structure.
NOTE: Jumper connectors must be clean to provide adequate electrical ground connections.
L. Connect electrical power connectors above galley.
M. Install galley seal on seal retainer. Check that seal makes smooth continuous contact with galley.

N. Install curtain track and header assembly (Ref 25-31-251).
O. Apply sealant fillet seal completely around exterior base of galley. (Use solvent for cleaning.)
6. Restore Airplane to Normal
A. Connect water connector above galley, pressurize water system and check for leaks (Ref 38-41-0, MP).
B. Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-0 MP).
C. Close circuit breakers previously opened.
D. Check galley for proper operation of electrical equipment and check for water leaks at connections.
E. Remove electrical power if no longer required (Ref 24-22-0, MP).
F. Install miscellaneous equipment on and/or in galley as required.

AFT GALLEYS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. Galley No. 3, located just forward of the aft service door, and galley No. 4, located just aft of the aft service door, are designated as the aft galleys. The following removal/installation procedures are typical for both aft galleys, with variations noted.
B. Access to the galley overhead electrical connectors, ground jumper, tie rod assembly and connectors is provided through the upper galley structure.
CAUTION: USE CARE TO AVOID DAMAGING PLASTIC LIQUID BARRIER ON GALLEY FLOOR AREA.
2. Equipment and Materials
A. Adhesive, General - RTV 109 (BAC5010, Type 60) (Ref 20-30-11)
B. Sealant, Pressure, Environmental and Fuel Cavity -BMS 5-95 preferred BMS 5-79 alternate (Ref 20-30-11)
C. Solvent, General Purpose Cleaning -BMS 3-2 (Ref 20-30-31)
D. Grease - MIL-C-11796, Class 2 (Ref 20-30-21)
3. Prepare for Removal
A. Open AFT GALLEY circuit breaker on panel P6.
B. On galley No. 4, depressurize passenger water system, drain water from galley and disconnect water connector above galley (Ref 38-41-0, MP).
C. Remove curtain track and header assembly (Ref 25-31-261).
D. If required, remove magazine rack from forward face of galley No. 3.
E. Remove miscellaneous equipment and/or articles stowed in galley.
4. Remove Aft Galley (Fig. 401)
A. Disconnect electrical power connectors above galley. Then disconnect ground jumper wire at top of galleys.
B. Remove bolts and nuts attaching tie rod assembly to fitting on top of galley. Position tie rod to provide adequate clearance during galley removal.
C. On galley with drain floor adapter,

Loosen hose clamp and remove drain hose from galley drain floor adapter.
(2)
Remove sealant from around galley drain floor adapter and remove floor adapter.
D. Remove watertight covers from floor track attachment wells.
E. Remove floor track fittings. (Galleys with grease filled fittings).
(1)
Remove grease from attachment well as required for access to fitting.
(2)
Remove lockscrew, unscrew anchor flange and remove flange.
(3)
Loosen jamnut on plunger stem and screw plunger up inside fitting using Allen wrench.
