Open access door on spacer panel and stow in open position.
(7)
Release fasteners securing hinged section of sidewall air outlet and fold section down and outboard.
(8)
Raise passenger service unit spacer panel with access door open to its installed position and secure in place with fasteners at inboard end.
(9)
Remove barrier net floor fitting coverplates and stow in personnel net stowage bag or overhead stowage bin above cargo door.
B. Rotate floor fittings upward out of recess in floor and swing aft slightly to stand upright.
C. Connect end fittings of two upper central straps to their proper fittings in the ceiling by matching the red and green color markings. Insert net strap fitting into fitting on fuselage structure and rotate 60 degrees in either direction to lock.
D. Connect all remaining strap end fittings to their proper fuselage fittings.

SIDEWALL PROTECTOR PANELS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
EFFECTIVITY
Passenger/Cargo Convertible Airplanes
1. Remove Sidewall Protector Panels (Fig. 401)
A. Loosen fastener in each lower attachment and slide clips down as far as possible.
B. Disengage clips from lower edge of window panel.
C. Pull protector panel inboard, raise to free upper attachments from sidewall extrusion, and remove panel.
2. Install Sidewall Protector Panels (Fig. 401)
A. Loosen fastener in each lower attachment and slide clips down to end of slotted hole.
B. Move panel into position and hook each upper attachment on sidewall extrusion.
C. Hold panel against sidewall and engage clips with lower edge of window panel.
D. Slide clips up as far as possible and tighten fastener on each clip.

ESCAPE EQUIPMENT - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. General
A. The escape equipment consists of two passenger cabin escape strap installations, two control cabin escape strap installations and four escape slide assemblies.
B. The passenger cabin escape straps are stowed above each of the two overwing emergency exits (Fig. 1). Refer to 25-61-100 for further information on the passenger cabin escape straps.
C. The control cabin escape straps or lanyard are stowed above each of the captain's and first officer's seats (Fig. 1). Refer to 25-61-200 for further information on the control cabin escape straps.
D. An escape slide assembly is mounted on the lower inboard face of the forward and aft entry doors and the forward and aft galley service doors (Fig. 1). Refer to 25-61-300 for further information on the escape slide assemblies.
