G.  Remove floor covering from cargo area (Ref. 25-27-100). Roll carpet segments at each pallet position together into one roll to aid in reinstallation.
H.  Install portion of cargo system to accommodate number of cargo pallets desired (Ref. 25-56-0).
I.  Remove left and right forward curved ceiling panels adjacent to end cap of forward lowered ceiling to expose barrier net fittings located above ceiling (Ref. 25-21-341).
J.  Open access door in passenger service unit panel (forward right side) to expose barrier net fitting located behind PSU.
K.  Remove stowage compartment end cap access cover on left side.
L.  Remove forward three stowage compartments and closure panels on left side (in cargo door area) (Ref. 25-24-311).
M.  Remove forward four stowage compartments and closure panels on right side opposite cargo door opening (Ref. 25-24-311).
N.  Remove small section of floor covering aft of forward galley service door and expose floor air grille.
O.  Remove barrier net floor fitting coverplates and stow in personnel safety net stowage bag.
P.  Install cargo barrier net (Ref. 25-56-112).
Q.  Install dry-chemical fire extinguisher on floor at forward end of cabin (Ref. 25-09-100).
R.  Install cargo/passenger dividing partition (Ref. 25-24-152).

S. If dividing partition is installed aft of overwing emergency exits, remove exit light located on air conditioning ceiling outlet opposite overwing exits (Ref. Chapter 33, Emergency Lights).
T.  Operate the forward overhead light fixture air outlet shutoff valve to the closed position.
WARNING:  EMERGENCY PROVISIONS FOR PREVENTING SMOKE PENETRATION INTO PASSENGER AND CREW COMPARTMENTS REQUIRE THAT THE FORWARD VALVE BE CLOSED IN THE PASSENGER/CARGO CONFIGURATIONS.
3.  Convert Cabin from Combined Passenger/Cargo to All-Passenger Configuration
A.  Open main cargo door (Ref. Chapter 52, Main Cargo Door).
B.  Install personnel safety net across main cargo door opening while door is open. Net should be installed whenever door is not being used for loading or unloading (Fig. 202).
WARNING:  TAKE CARE WHEN WORKING IN VICINITY OF OPEN DOOR. INSTALL DOORWAY SAFETY BARRIER TO PREVENT FALLING THROUGH DOORWAY.
C.  Remove cargo/passenger dividing partition (Ref. 25-24-152).
D.  Remove dry-chemical fire extinguisher from floor at forward end of cabin (Ref. 25-09-100).
E.  Remove cargo barrier net and install floor fitting coverplates (Ref. 25-56-112).
F.  Remove cargo system (Ref. 25-56-0).
G.  Clean cabin floor as necessary.
H.  Install left and right forward curved ceiling panels adjacent to end cap of forward lowered ceiling (Ref. 25-21-341).
I.  Close access door in PSU panel.
J.  Install stowage compartment end cap access cover on left side.
K.  Install three forward stowage compartments and closure panels on left side (Ref. 25-24-311).
L.  Install four forward stowage compartments and closure panels on right side (Ref. 25-24-311).
M.  Install floor covering, including small section over floor air grille (Ref. 25-27-100).
N.  Remove personnel net stowage bag from sidewall aft of cargo door opening.
O.  Install all passenger seats. Arrange seats in accordance with numbered cards placed in seat back pockets during removal. Lock seats to floor tracks installing seat track covers to determine spacing.
P.  If not installed, install seat armrest on each emergency exit.
Q.  Remove personnel net from cargo door opening.
R.  Close main cargo door (Ref. Chapter 52, Main Cargo Door).
S.  If not installed, install emergency exit light on air conditioning ceiling outlet opposite the overwing emergency exit (Ref. Chapter 33, Emergency Lights).
T.  Operate the forward overhead light fixture air outlet shutoff valve to the opened position.

CONFIGURATIONS AND THE ALL-CARGO CONFIGURATION

EFFECTIVITY
Passenger/Cargo Convertible Airplanes
1. General
A.  The instructions in this section provide the steps necessary to convert the cabin between any of the various combined passenger/cargo configurations and the all-cargo configuration  (Fig. 201).
B.  Certain operations and conditions must be accomplished when converting the cabin to accommodate cargo. These are summarized as follows:
(1)  
Along both sides of any section of the cabin being converted to carry cargo, individual air outlets on passenger service units must be closed, and reading lights switches off.
