Open appropriate circuit breakers and disconnect wire bundle from emergency light.
(3)
Remove two screws securing exit light to brackets on center panel and remove light.
(4)
Remove eight screws attaching center panel of end cap to brackets on outboard panels and remove center panel.
(5)
Lower passenger service units adjacent to end cap to gain access to outboard attachments (Ref 25-23-311, Passenger Service Unit - Maintenance Practices).

Remove screws and washers attaching each outboard panel to support structure.
(7)
Move outboard panel outboard until inboard edge is free of air conditioning outlet nozzle.
(8)
Lower inboard edge and move panel inboard to remove.
F. Remove Panel No. 3
(1)
Remove snap-in exit light lens over aft entry door.
(2)
Remove fasteners along inboard edge of panel No. 3.
(3)
Pull panel inboard and forward to release outboard and aft edges.
G. Remove Panel No. 4
(1)
Remove face of aft galley attendant’s panel.
(a)
Open exit light lens and remove fasteners.
(b)
Hinge panel face down.
(c)
Disconnect electrical leads.
(d)
Remove fasteners along hinge and remove panel face.
(2)
Loosen hose clamp on exhaust air hose and disconnect hose from aft galley exhaust air inlet.
(3)
Remove aft attendants’ service unit (Ref 25-23-71).
(4)
Remove curtain and curtain track from panel No. 4.
(5)
Lower passenger service unit and remove overhead stowage compartment as required to gain access to outboard attachment of panel No. 4 forward trim strip (Ref 25-23-311, Passenger Service Unit - Maintenance Practices and 25-24-311, Overhead Stowage Compartment - Removal/Installation).
(6)
Remove fasteners securing brackets on panel No. 4 forward trim strip to structure and to sidewall extrusion at top of window panel.
(7)
Remove fasteners along inboard edge.
(9)
Pull panel inboard and forward to release outboard and aft edges.

H. Remove Panel No. 7
(1)
Remove plug buttons which conceal fasteners on lower surface of panel No. 7 at left, right and forward edges.
(2)
Remove fasteners attaching panel to support structure and remove panel.
I. Remove Panel No. 8
(1)
Remove one fastener on outboard edge of panel No. 8.
(2)
Remove fasteners along two sides of notch in panel.
(3)
Remove row of fasteners above inboard edge of panel and remove panel.
3. Install Aft Lowered Ceiling Panels (Fig. 401)
A. Install Panel No. 8
(1)
Locate panel and install fasteners above inboard edge of panel.
(2)
Install fasteners along two sides of notch in panel.
(3)
Install one fastener in outboard edge of panel.
B. Install Panel No. 7
(1)
Place panel in position, insert fasteners through lower surface of panel and secure to support structure.
(2)
Install plug buttons in panel No. 7 to conceal fasteners.
C. Install Panel No. 4
(1)
Insert outboard and aft panel edges into interior lining attachments.
(2)
Install fasteners along inboard panel edge.
(3)
Install fasteners to secure brackets on panel No. 4 forward trim strip to structure and to sidewall extrusion at top of window panel.
(4)
Install aft attendants' service unit (Ref 25-23-71).
(5)
Connect exhaust air hose to aft galley exhaust air inlet and tighten hose clamp.
(6)
Install face of aft galley attendant's panel.
(a)
Place panel face in position with face hinged down.
(b)
Install fasteners through hinge at bottom of panel.
(c)
Connect electrical leads.
(d)
Hinge panel face up to closed position.
(e)
Install fasteners located behind panel lens.
(f)
Install exit light lens.
(7)
Install curtain and curtain track on panel No. 4.
