Remove floor bracket from adapter plate.
(3)
Remove two flat head screws that fasten adapter plate to floor.
NOTE: Screws may not have the same length. Identify each so it can be reinstalled in same place.
B. Install Bracket
(1)
Clean and dry two flat head screws and all adapter plate holes using solvent and clean gauze cloth.
(2)
Apply sealant to two flat head screws and all adapter plate holes.
(3)
Position adapter plate (detail A) and install two flat head screws.
NOTE: At right forward door, repositioning floor panels may be necessary (Ref 53-21-0, R/I) to maintain correct spacing of brackets. See Fig. 201, flagnote 1.
(4)
Trim shim stock to shape of floor bracket base, drill two holes through shim to match bracket and install on adapter plate.
(5)
Position floor bracket and install two pan head bolts and lock washers.
3. Escape Slide Floor Brackets - Inspection/Check (Fig. 201)
A. Check for secure attachment to floor.
(1)
Check for secure attachment to floor.
(2)
Examine for corrosion or other damage.
(3)
Ensure that bracket pawl works freely and closes fully.
B. Adjust, clean, repair or replace as needed.
4. Escape Slide Floor Brackets - Cleaning and Painting (Fig. 201)
A. Clean Brackets
(1) Raise inboard lip of pawl and, with small object, such as a toothbrush or pipe cleaner soaked in methyl ethyl ketone, naphtha or similar solvent, clean dirt from part of bracket below pawl.

A. Emergency signaling equipment as covered in this section consists of electronic megaphones and an emergency transmitter (Fig. 1).
B. Provisions for installing emergency flashlights are at each attendant seat.
