CARGO/PASSENGER DIVIDING PARTITION - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. A partition is used to divide the cargo from the passenger compartments in any of the combined passenger/cargo configurations. The partition is provided with a sliding door for personnel passage.
2. Remove Cargo/Passenger Dividing Partition (Fig. 401)
A. Withdraw hanger pins on upper center (decompression) panel and remove panel.
B. Withdraw pins from upper beam and remove beam segments.
C. Withdraw two hanger pins along left side of center panel and one at lower right corner of panel. Remove panel.
D. Withdraw hanger pins from lower beam at bottom of left panel and move panel inboard to clear outboard support arm. Remove panel.
CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE INBOARD END OF PANEL FORWARD OR AFT UNTIL CLEAR OF OUTBOARD SUPPORT ARM TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO SOCKET.
F. Pull up on spring loaded pins on track attach fittings and move beam assembly forward or aft until fittings can be lifted from track. Remove beams.
G. If required, remove outboard support arms from air conditioning outlet extrusion by removing screws.
H. Reassemble outboard support arms to prevent loss of parts.

3. Install Cargo/Passenger Dividing Partition (Fig. 401)
A. If removed, install outboard support arms on air conditioning outlet extrusion in approximate location. Do not tighten screws.
B. Hold spring loaded pins on track attach fittings in up position. Insert fittings on beam assembly into tracks and move beam forward or aft to proper location where pins snap down into track.
C. Push right panel on outboard support arm and insert hanger pins into lower beam fittings. Ensure that all seal strip edges point forward.
CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE INBOARD END OF PANEL FORWARD OR AFT AFTER BEGINNING OF INSERTION ON OUTBOARD SUPPORT ARM TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO SOCKET.
D. Push left panel on outboard support arm and insert hanger pins into lower beam fittings. Ensure that all seal strip edges point forward.
CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE INBOARD END OF PANEL FORWARD OR AFT AFTER BEGINNING OF INSERTION ON OUTBOARD SUPPORT ARM TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO SOCKET.
E. Locate center panel in opening and insert three hanger pins.
F. Locate upper beam segments and insert all pins from bottom up.
CAUTION: ANY PINS INCORRECTLY INSERTED IN CENTER AREA WILL PREVENT DECOMPRESSION PANEL FROM FUNCTIONING.
G. Ensure that partition is vertical and tighten outboard support arm clamp on air conditioning extrusion. Tighten to 40 to 60 pound-inches.
H. Locate bottom of decompression panel on ball detents from forward side of partition and rotate top into place. Insert hanger pins.
