(1) Connect the hose of hand pump to the quick disconnect on the hydraulic junction box.

E. Operate the hand pump to open the half door to 35 degrees position as follows: (Ref. Fig. 203/TASK 78-36-00-991-302)
WARNING : YOU MUST HOLD EACH HALF DOOR OPENED WITH THE HOLD-OPEN ROD TO
_______ PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY DUE TO ACCIDENTAL CLOSURE.
(1) Remove the quick release pin that attach the hold-open rod on the upper bracket.
(2) Move the hold-open rod to the bracket of the forward frame.
(3) Attach the hold-open rod with the quick-release pin.

F. Open the half door to 45 degrees position as follows:

(1) Operate the hand pump to open the half door to 45 degrees position.
R (2) Remove the red bolt and nut from the lug of the top lug of the hold
R open rod attach fitting on the inner cowl. Put the nut on the bolt
R and tighten.

R (3) Remove the quick release pin that attach the hold open rod on the lower bracket.
R (4) Move the hold-open rod to the bracket of forward frame.

R (5) Attach the hold open rod with the quick release pin. Subtask 78-36-00-680-050
G. Drain the fluid from the door opening actuator. NOTE : The fluid should always be drained from the actuator, if not,
____ there will not be enough fluid in the pump to open the other door. If more fluid is added to the pump there will be too much fluid in the pump when the door is closed.
(1) Open the relief valve on the PUMP HAND COWL - ACTUATOR, FAN REVERSER (HIX4001).
(2) Let the fluid in the actuator drain into the hand pump for a minimum of one minute.
