A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Lower Swivel Joints
(1) Remove the protective covers from the hose and pipe ends.
(2) Connect the rod supply junction pipe and the lower rod supply hose to the swivel joint.
(3) TORQUE the coupling nuts to between 130 and 150 lbf.in (1.46 and 1.69 m.daN).
(4) Connect the head supply junction pipe and the lower head supply hose to the swivel joint.
(5) TORQUE the coupling nuts to between 235 and 260 lbf.in (2.65 and 2.93 m.daN).
(6) Attach the lower head shield to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(7) TORQUE the bolts to between 61 and 70 lbf.in (0.68 and 0.79 m.daN). NOTE : Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991 (Material
____ No. CP2245) on all nuts and connections after they are torqued.
