(a) Install the handling sling on the two upper hoist points of the half door.
(b) Remove and keep one lifting hoist plug from the lower hoist point.
(c) Install the lifting strap on the middle lower fitting.
(9) Open the right and left half doors. WARNING : YOU MUST HOLD EACH HALF DOOR OPENED WITH THE HOLD-OPEN ROD
_______ TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY DUE TO ACCIDENTAL CLOSURE.
CAUTION : PROTECT THE ENGINE PARTS MADE OF TITANIUM OR TITANIUM
_______ ALLOYS FROM CONTACT WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS CORROSIVE AND CAUSES DAMAGE TO TITANIUM.
(a) Open the right and left half doors to the 35 degrees position (Ref. TASK 78-36-00-010-040).
(10) Put a protection cover over the core engine to make sure that hydraulic fluid does not drop on the compressor case.
(11) Remove the left or right door-opening actuators (Ref. TASK 78-36-51-000-041).
(12) Install blanking plug on the hydraulic pipe. (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 78-32-11-991-302)
(13) Apply tension to the HANDLING SLING (HIX1001) to keep half door in position.
(14) Put the hold-open rod in closed position (Ref. Fig. 406/TASK 78-32-11-991-307)
(15) Remove quick release pin from attachment bracket on the half door.
(16) Move the half door to the 10 degrees position.
(17) Remove the three hinge pins which attach the half door as follows: (Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 78-32-11-991-304)
CAUTION : MAKE SURE HALF DOOR IS NOT DAMAGED WHEN REMOVED.

E 56-5B E E E CAUTION : THE HALF DOOR WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 440 POUNDS (200 KG).
_______ MAKE SURE THAT THE CRANE CAN LIFT 440 POUNDS (200 KG). HOWEVER, THE FORCE USED TO LIFT THE HALF DOOR SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 661 POUNDS (300 KG). IF THE LIFTING FORCE IS TOO MUCH THE SCREWS IN THE LIFTING BEAM CAN BREAK AND THE HALF DOOR WILL FALL AND BE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10).
(b) Remove the nuts and the washers.
(c) Remove the hinge pins with a soft copper drift.
(18) Carefully lift the half door from the engine pylon.
(19) Install the thrust reverser half door on the WORKSTAND MOBILE
(HIX3001) as follows:
