A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

Subtask 78-36-51-020-050
A. Removal of the Cowl Opening Actuator
(1) Loosen the clamp (25) and remove the flexible cooling hose (35) or
(85) from the lower cooling jacket (45) or (70).
(2) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (60) from the actuator (50) and the inner supply pipe on the half door.
R (3) Put protective covers on the two ends of the hose, the inner supply R pipe and the actuator.
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (5).
R (5) Remove the nuts (10), washers (15) and bolts (20) that attach the R actuator (50) to the half door and the pylon.
(6) Remove the cowl opening actuator (50).
(7) Loosen the clamps (25) that attach the cooling jackets and remove them from the cowl opening actuator (50).
(8) Remove the upper cooling jacket (55) or (65) from the cowl opening actuator.
(9) Remove the upper cooling jacket (45) or (70) from the cowl opening actuator.
(10) Loosen the clamp (25) and remove the flexible cooling hose (35) or
(85) from the inlet scoop (30) or (75).
(11) For the right hand cowl opening actuator only. Loosen the nut (80) and remove from the clamp (90) from the stud pipe clip (95).
