A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

A. Installation of the Upper Swivel Joint:
(1) Installation of the Upper Rod Swivel Joint
(a) Remove the protective covers from the pipe ends. R (b) Lubricate the packing (20) with thrust reverser hydraulic fluid.
(c) Install the packing (20) on the fixed end of the rod swivel joint.
(d) Install the swivel joint onto the rod supply junction pipe.
(e) TORQUE the swivel joint to between 260 and 300 lbf.in (2.93 and
3.39 m.daN).
(f) Connect the upper rod supply hose to the swivel joint.
(g) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 130 and 150 lbf.in (1.46 and
1.69 m.daN).
NOTE : Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991
____ (Material No. CP2245) on all nuts and connections after they are torqued.

(2) Installation of the Upper Head Swivel Joint
(a) Remove the protective covers from the pipe ends. R (b) Lubricate the packing (10) with thrust reverser hydraulic fluid.
(c) Install the packing (10) on the fixed end of the head swivel joint.
(d) Install the swivel joint onto the head supply junction pipe.
(e) TORQUE the swivel joint to between 370 and 410 lbf.in (4.18 and
4.63 m.daN).
(f) Connect the upper head supply hose to the swivel joint.
