4. Procedure
_________ (Ref. Fig. 501/TASK 78-32-41-991-311) Subtask 78-32-41-220-050 R A. Measure the mismatch space between the blocker door and the fan cowl.
(1) If the blocker door is in negative step, the mismatch space must be R less than 0.118 in. (3.0 mm). If the measure is not in the R permissible limits, go to step B.
(2) If the blocker door is in positive step, the mismatch space must be R less than 0.047 in. (1.2 mm). If the measure is not in the R permissible limits, go to step B.
(3) If the mismatch space is correct go to close-up.

B. Adjust the latch fittings on the blocker doors NOTE : Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 Blue 5991 (Material No.
____ CP2245) on all nuts and connections when you have done the check of their torques.
R (1) Open the fan cowl door (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
R (2) Manually move the blocker door to the open position (Ref. TASK 78-32-41-860-001) .
R (3) Loosen four bolts that attach the latch fitting to the thrust reverser frame.
R (4) If the blocker door is in positive step, pull up the latch fitting the needed number of teeth to remove the mismatch. One tooth corresponds to 0.75 mm (0.03 in.).
R (5) If the blocker door is in negative step, push down the latch fitting
the needed number of teeth to remove the mismatch.
R (6) TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90 m.daN).
R (7) Close the blocker door: CAUTION : BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE

(4) Remove the warning notice(s).
