(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that:
- the slats and flaps are retracted,
- the throttle control levers operate at minimum power (0 degree).
(4) On the slats and flaps control levers, make sure that a warning notice is in position to prevent use of them.
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position.

(1) Install a new bushing (20) on the pin (15).

(4) Cleaning:

(a) Apply a bead of RTV732 (Material No. CP2303) around the junction of the pin (15) with the inner barrel.
(5) If removed, apply a bead of RTV732 (Material No. CP2303) around the base of the strut.
