4. Procedure

Subtask 78-36-41-420-050
A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Half Door Latches:
(1) Installation of the Forward Half Door Latches
(a) Put the latches (15) into position and install the bolt (20) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the half door and the nut is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in. (0.23 mm).
R (c) Safety the nut (10) with a new cotter pin (05).
(2) Installation of the Middle Half Door Latch
(a) Put the latch (25) into position and install the bolt (30) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the cowl structure and the nut is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in.
(0.23 mm). R (c) Safety the nut (10) with a new cotter pin (05).
(3) Installation of the Aft Half Door Latch
(a) Put the latch (25) into position and install the bolt (35) and the nut (10).
(b) Tighten the nut (10) until the clearance between the cowl structure and the nu t is from 0.0019 in. (0.05 mm) to 0.009 in.
(0.23 mm). R (c) Safety the nut (10) with a new cotter pin (05).

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
