(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

A. Manual Deployment of the Blocker Door
(1) Turn the Dzus fastener on the thermal blanket (40) to loosen it and remove the blanket from the blocker door latch (15). (Ref. Fig. 203/TASK 78-32-41-991-305)
(2) Turn the manual unlock shaft on the blocker latch to the unlock position with a 5/16 in. (7.94mm) wrench.
NOTE : The manual unlock shaft can be accessed through a slot on the
____ right or left side of the blocker door latch.
(3) Turn the manual unlock square on the hydraulic actuator to the unlock position.
NOTE : The blocker door automatically disengage from its hook.
