Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-013) between the nut (104) and the thread of the switch.

Install the switch (105) in the handle.
(4) Make sure that the stop of the lock plate (102) is in its housing. R (5) Install the washer (103), the nut (109) and tighten it.
(6)
Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-013) on the thread of the switch.
(7)
Install the trigger (110), the washer (111) and the nut (112).
(8)
TORQUE the nut (112) to 0.035 m.daN (3.09 lbf.in).
(9)
Make sure that the top of the trigger is flush with the handle. If not, do these steps:
(a)
Remove the nut (112), the washer (111) and the trigger (110).
(b)
Loosen the nut (109).
(c)
Temporarily install the trigger and turn the nut (104) until the trigger is in the correct position.
(d)
Tighten the nut (109).
(e)
Install the trigger (110), the washer (111) and the nut (112).
(f)
TORQUE the nut (112) to 0.035 m.daN (3.09 lbf.in).

Install the blanking plug (113).
(11)
Apply a thin bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-023) in the recess for the cover plate (101).
(12)
Install the cover plate (101).
(13)
Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-013) on the threads of the screws (100).
(14)
Install the screws (100) and tighten them.
(15)
Cut and remove the unwanted sealant bead from around the cover plate (101).
(16)
Apply a thin coat of black paint where necessary.
(17)
Connect the cables of the switch (105) to the bottom electrical connector (107) with the extraction/insertion tool P/N M81969/14.01 from the ELECTRICIAN SERVICE TOOL KIT (DMC519). (Ref. Fig. 409/TASK 27-92-41-991-009, 410/TASK 27-92-41-991-010)

Put the electrical connectors (106) and (107) in position.

Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-013) on the threads of the screws (108).

Install the screws (108) and tighten.

A. Removal of the Pushbutton Switch (8CE1,8CE2).
(1)
Remove the screws (124). Disengage the electrical connectors (122) and (123).
(2)
On the electrical connectors (122) and (123), disconnect the cables of the pushbutton switch (120) with the extraction/insertion tool P/N M81969/14.01 from the ELECTRICIAN SERVICE TOOL KIT (DMC519).

Mark them. (Ref. Fig. 409/TASK 27-92-41-991-009, 410/TASK 27-92-41-991-010)

Remove the pushbutton switch (120). Remove the O-ring (121) and discard it.
