4. Procedure

A. Do this test:
CAUTION : DO NOT OPERATE THE SIDE STICKS.

1.
Push the line key adjacent to the EFCS 1(2) indication.
2.
Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
3.
Push the line key adjacent to the ELEVATOR DAMPING TEST indication.
4.
On the overhead panels 23VU and 24VU:
-release the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switches.
5.
Pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems with the electric pumps (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-863-001) (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
6.
On the center pedestal, on the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the START LEFT ELEV TEST indication (See NOTE).
7.
Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
The MCDU shows the EFCS1(2) page.
The MCDU shows the EFCS1(2)/TEST page.
The MCDU shows the EFCS1(2)/ELEVATORDAMPING TEST page.
On the overhead panels 23VU and 24VU:
-the OFF legends of the FLT CTL/ELAC 1and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbuttonswitches come on.
On the EFCS1(2)/ELEVATOR DAMPING TESTpage, the MCDU shows:
-
the L ELEV TEST OK indication
-
the minimum value
-
the damping factors.

8.
Push the line key adjacent to the START RIGHT ELEV TEST indication (See NOTE).
9.
Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
10.
On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.
11.
On the overhead panels 23VU and 24VU:
-push the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switches.
On the EFCS1(2)/ELEVATOR DAMPING TESTpage, the MCDU shows:
-
the R ELEV TEST OK indication
-
the minimum value
-
the damping factors.
The MCDU shows the MCDU MENU page.
On the overhead panels 23VU and 24VU :
-
the OFF legends of the FLT CTL/ELAC 1and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbuttonswitches go off.
-
the FAULT legends of the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switches come on then go off after not many seconds.
NOTE : If "TEST NOT POSSIBLE" is shown: (Ref. TSM 27-OBSV PB 101).

5. Close-up
Subtask 27-96-00-860-069
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1)
Depressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
(1)
Install the protective cover on the battery power center 105VU.
(2)
Tighten the two screws.

Close the access door 822.

Remove the access platform(s).
