(b) Test for shorteddiodes as follows, refer to Chart 2:
(1.) Place the battery master switch in the ON position.
(2.) Start left engine only and run at approximately pushed in.

68% N1 with all circuit breakers (3.) Place the left generator switch in the ON position. (4.) Pull out the right generatorbus tie circuit breaker on the main circuit breaker panel. (5.) Pull out both right main and both essential bus circuit breakers on main circuit breaker panel. (6.) Check that the equipment powered by essential and right main buses are inoperative. (7.) If essential and right main bus power is stall present, diode on connecting wireP1 B-6 of left main bus is shorted. (8.) Push in essential bus circuit breaker, and pull out left main bus circuit breaker on left side of main breaker panel. (9.) Check that the equipment on left and right main buses are inoperative. (10.) If left and right main bus power is still present, diode on connecting wire P1G-6 of essentialbus is shorted. (11.) Push in right main circuit breakerand pull out left main and essential circuit breaker on left side of main breaker panel. (12.) Check that the equipment on left main and essential buses are inoperative. (13.) If left main and essential bus power is still present, diode on connecting wire P1D-6 of rightmain bus is shorted. (14.) Push in all breakersand start right engine; shut down left engine. (15.) Repeat the above procedure for the right generator by pulling out left generator bus tie breakeron main circuit breaker panel. With right generator switch on, repeat steps (5.) through (13.), pulling the right main, essential bus, and left main circuit breakers onright side of main breaker panel. PUlling these breakers will test for shorts in diodes on connectingwires P1A-6, P1F-6, and P1C-6 respectively. (16.) Push all breakers in and shut down right engine.
