Removeonescrew from eachset of rub blocks at F.S. 140.0,162.0, 174.0, and215.0. Open them enough to allow cable ends to pass through.
(g)Slidebushingup shaft to separate two halves of trim screwassembly.
(h)Removebolts attaching screwassemblyto mountingbracket.Draw assembly withcablesfrom fuselage.

13. Installationof ForwardElevatorTrim System (Figure 401)
(a)
Ensure cable is evenly wrapped on trim drum (centered) and blocked to prevent unwrapping. (Refer to Wrapping the Trim Drum.)
(b)
Positionforward trim screw on left side of mounting bracket below pedestal at F.S. 100.0.
(c)
Draw cables aft through fuselage, back to F.S. 65.0.
(d)
If trim cables from elevatorare installed, connectcable ends. (If cables from elevator are not installed,pull cables tight and block them in fuselage at bulkhead 274.0.)
(e)
Withcables Installed and connected, installcable guard pins at F.S. 125.0 and F.S. 243.5. Closeand secure rub blocks at F.S. 140.0, 162.0, 174.0, and 215.0.
(f)
Removecable blocks.
(g)
Setcable tension with turbuckles at approximately F.S. 220.0. (Check rigging of elevator trim for rigging and adjustments.)
(h)
Install and seal accessplates and panels. Install bullet assembly on vertical stabilizer and install seats.
14.Removalof Aft Elevator Trim Actuator
(a)
Removetop and bottom cover assemblies from stabilizer togain access to actuator assembly.
(b)
Removecotter pins, nuts, washers,and bolts securing two trim tab rod assemblies to trim actuator.
(c)
Removeelevator (refer to 55-20-00, Removalof Elevator). Block trim cables to actuator (Figure 402).
(d)
Removeseats, cabinets, and carpet at F.S. 215.00 to F.S. 251.00. Remove floorboardto gain accessto right side floorboard.
(e)
Block trim cables at aft side of bulkhead locatedat F.S. 235.35 (Figure 402).
(f)
Mark one set of cable ends to facilitate installationand disconnect cables at tumbuckles. Attach leader lines to cable ends.
(g)
Removebulletassemblyfromtop of vertical stabilizer and elevator trimcable pulley access panelson top and bottom of horizontal stabilizer (B.L. 36.10).
(h)
Removetail cone assembly to gain accessto elevator trim cable pulley, located on aft side of bulkheadat F.S. 368.00.
(i)
Removeaccesspanelon right side of rear fuselage at F.S. 339.50.
(j)
Removecableguide pins from pulleys at F.S. 280.00, 332.00, 344.31,368.94, 418.00, and two pulleys in horizontal stabilizerat B.L. 34.40 and 36.98. Removerub blocks at F.S. 251.00.
(k)
Draw cables aft through fuselage, tail, and horizontal stabilizer.
(I)
Markleader lines to facilitate installation. Disconnectfrom trim cables.
(m)Removesix bolts securing trim actuator to horizontal stabilizerrearspar; remove actuator.

15.Installationof Aft Elevator Trim Actuator
NOTE: Complete the Inspection of aft elevator trimactuatorbefore installing.
(a)
Ensure cable is properly wrapped on drum (explained in Wrapping of Trim Drums). Block cables to prevent unraveling.
(b)
Positiontrim actuator on mounting bracket (L.B.L. 42.84). Secure with 6 bolts and washers.
(c)
Attachleader lines to cable ends. In fuselage at F.S. 215.00, draw cables through horizontal stabilizer,vertical fin, and fuselage. Remove leader lines and connect cable ends to appropriateturnbuckle.
(d)
Install cable guide pins at pulleys in horizontal stabilizer,verticalfin, and fuselage. Install rub blocks at F.S. 251.00.
(e)
Removecable blocks from cable at trim actuator and aft side of bulkhead at F.S.235.35.
(f)
Install elevator (refer to 55-20-00, Installationof Elevator).
