12. Installation of Forward Rudder Trim System (Figure 401)
(a)
Ensure cable is centered and evenly wrapped on trim drum (see paragraph on Wrapping of TrimDrums). Block cables to prevent drum from unwrapping.
(b)
Lay trim drum on floor in front of pedestal and attach leader lines to proper cables.
(c)
From rear of cabin, carefully pull cables throughfuselage ensuring cablesare aligned on pulleys.
(d)
Installcableguide pins and rub blocks.
(e)
Install drive shaft from control and mount the drum assembly on channel plate.
(f)
Follow cable back down fuselage andalign in pulley and rub blocks.
(g)
If aft trim system is not installed, pull cables tight and block them on aft side of F.S. 310.0 bulkhead.
(h)
If aft trim system is installed, engage cables with proper turnbucklesand rig and tighten cables to specifications in Figure 501.
(i)
Conducta final check of all cable routing, pulleys, and rub blocks.
(j)
Install all access plates, carpeting, and seats.
13. Removalof Aft Rudder Trim System (Figure 401)
(a)
Remove right side floor panels between bulkheads F.S. 310.0 to 332.0, two access plates on right side of tail and tail cone (stinger).
(b)
Blockaft trim cables (using one method in 27-00-00, Figure 2) on front side of bulkhead F.S.
332.0to prevent unwrapping from screw drum assembly on aft canted bulkhead.
(c)
Blockforward cables to rear of F.S. 310.0 bulkhead.
(d)
Mark one set of turnbuckle cable ends and remove fairleads in pressure bulkhead F.S. 332.0.
(e)
Disconnect cables at turnbuckles and attach 10 foot leader line to two cable terminal ends.
