10. Installationof Aileron Control Section (Figure 401)
(a)Hold sector on end with groovedendsfore and aft, and rotate it down and between toptwo supports.
(b)Withsector between itssupports,connectcontrolrod to mountingflange.
(c)
Ensureflangeis to left side of aircraft.Positionsectorbetweenits support.
(e)
Ensureelevatorcontrol sector is in position. DriveAN6-60Apivotbolt down through two sectorsandtheir supports. Screwbolt into nut plate.
(f)
Connectandtightenaileron control cables.
(g)Tightenelevatorcontrolcables.
11. Removalof Aileron Bellcrank (Figure401)
(a)
Removeaccessplateto bellcrank assembly.
(b)
Relievecable tension of control systemby rotating onetumbuckleattachedtobellcrank.
(c)
Disconnecttumbuckleendsfrom forward andaft bellcrank ends.
(d)
Disconnectaileroncontrolrod at bellcrank.
(e)
Removepivot bolt securingbellcrank.Removebellcrankfromwing.
(f)
Unboltstopblockandremovefrom wing.
12.Installationof Aileron Bellcrank (Figure 401)
(a)
Placebellcrankin mounting bracket with adjustablestopstowardoutboardendof wing.
(b)
Installpivot bolt and torque.
(c)
Installaileron control rod; secure bolt assembly and safety.
(d)Connecttumbuckleends to bellcrank;secureand safety.
NOTE: The bellcrankaft end and balance cable end is painted red to facilitate proper hookup. Do not tighten turnbuckle fork ends on bellcrank so ends cannotrotate.
(e)
Installstop block andtorquebolts.
(f)
Checkaileron controls riggingand adjustment.
(g)
Installaccessplate and secure.
13. Removalof Aileron Trim (Fuselage) (Figure401)
(a) Togainaccessto trim control actuator, cables,pulleys,and control pedestal,removerightand left pilot seats, floorboards,and access panels in and around pedestal.
NOTE: The fuselage aileron trim cables are routed down right side of fuselage from pedestal intoright wing. After enteringwing,cables go throughtwo sets of pulleys to Wing Station92.5 where theyattach to wingaileron trim cable with tumbuckles.
(b)To release tension on the aileron cablesystem,loosen balance cabletumbuckleat Fuselage Station171.3.Accessto tumbuckle is accomplished necessaryseatsandfloor
byremoving
panels.
(c) Cablesandpulleysin fuselage are reached by removing right hand andcentral floorboards in cockpitthroughcabin at Fuselage Station99.0to 163.0. Remove seatsfromStation135.0to
163.0as necessary.
(d) Blocktrim cables at screw drum assemblyinwing at Wing Station 171.0andinfuselageat pulleysunderpedestal.
(e)Underwing at Wing Station92.5,removeaccesspanel,markcablesto ensure proper reinstallation;disengagefuselagetrimcablesfromtumbuckles.
NOTE: Be sure to note specificroutingand hookup ofeach cable to ensure trimtab operates properly after reinstallation.

(f)
Removetwo smallsnapbushings securing trim cablesto rib flange at WingStation58.5by reachingthroughoutboardaccess hole in aft wheelwell bulkheadandunderwing at Wing Station65.0.
(g)
Onaft wheel well bulkhead, removeinboardaccesspanel. Reachthroughaccesshole, removenutfrompulleybearing bolt, and carefullyslidebolt up throughpulleysfar enough to removetab pulleys.
(h)
At Wing Station0.5, reach throughbottom,aft access holein wing fillet, andremove tab pulleys.
(i)
Tab cables are routed fromlast wing pulleygroup,througha doubler assembly,and into fuselage.
(j)
Removerequiredpulleyguidepinsfrom specific pulleysin fuselage. Carefullydrawcables fromwing into fuselage.
(k)
From pedestal in cockpit, carefully drawcablesthroughfuselage.
(I)
Remove access covers on control pedestal.
(m)With tab cablesstillblockedat pulleys belowpedestal,blockcables at pedestaltrim screwand removeclevispinfasteninguniversaljointto screw shaft.
(n)
Unblockcablesat pulleys; removepulleys.
(o)
Removefourboltsretainingscrewassemblyto support bracket.
(p)
Slidescrewassemblyforwardfromsupportbracketuntilshaftclearssupportbracket.
(q)
Carefullyremovescrew assembly frompedestal. Pull cables outthroughpedestal.
(r)
Referto appropriate sectionon trim controlsand indicatorsfor removalof aileron tabcontrol.
