The registered owners name and address are received by the Federal Aviation Administration and used on the Aircraft RegistrationCertificate is the name and address that Piper Aircraft uses to mail Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and Instructions.
If the aircraft is based and/or operated at a different location and/or by persons other than those recorded on the aircraft registration, then it is the responsibility of the bonafide owner(s) to forward the above Bulletins and Letters to those locations or persons or to provide a separate subscription serviceavailablefrom Piper Aircraft Corporation.
Changesin aircraft registration may take a substantial amount of time to be recorded on the Federal Aviation Administration computer and received by Piper Aircraft to change the mailing address. Owners and operators should make arrangementsto keep abreast of service releases in this interim period through their Piper Service Center.
Everytwo weeks the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA)publishes Airworthiness Directives (AD's)that apply to specific groups of aircraft. They are mandatory changes and are to be complied within a time limit set by the FAA. When an AD is issued, it is sent to the latest registeredowner of the affected aircraft and also to subscribers of the service. The owner shouldperiodically check with his Piper Service Center or A & P mechanic to see whether he hasthe latest issued AD against his airplane. The owner is solely responsible for being aware of and complying with airworthiness directives.
Piper Aircraft Corporation takes a continuing interest in having the owner get the most efficient usefrom his airplane and keeping it in the best mechanical condition. Consequently, Piper Aircraftperiodically issues Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and Service Spares Letters relating to the Aircraft.
