11. Removeaccesscoversfromfuelcellswhichrequirecleaning. UseStoddardsolventandsoft bristlebrushto scrub affectedcells. Removeanyparticlesof contamination in fuelcell with tack rag. Whenfuel cell cleaningiscompleted,ensureno equipmentis left infuel cellsand reinstallall
accesscovers.
NOTE:Nacelletankaccesscoverrequiressealing.

Use lowestoctaneaviationgasolineavailable.Thoroughlyflushallfuel cells,tanks,connectingfuel lines,and boostpump.

Inspectallfuelcells,tanks,pumps,and linesfordeterioration.Themicroorganismby-productsattachfuelbladders,harmfueltankcoatings,andetchunderlyingmetals.

Reinstallboostpumpand safety.
15.
Reinstallall sumpdrains.
16.
Reinstallfirewall mountedfuelfilterbowlswithoutfilter elements.
17.
Reinstallbothfilter elementsand bowlson enginedrivenfuel pumpsandsafety.
18.
Flushsystemas follows:
(a)
Disconnectfuel line betweenfuel pressuresnubberandfuelpump.
(b)
Add eightgallonsof aviationgasolineto affected sides.
(c)
Pullall circuitbreakersexceptthosecontrollingfuelboostpump.
(d)
Placemaster switchin on position and actuateboostpump.
(e)
Afterpumpingtwo gallonsof aviationgasolineusingpump,observefuelcomingfromfuel line. Actuatecrossfeedvalve;ensurecrossfeedlineis clean.
NOTE:If right wingis only contaminated ensure valveandlineis
portion, crossfeed adequatelyflushedbydisconnecting lineatcrossfeedvalveon left wing
crossfeed side. Drainfuelintocontaminated
fuelcontainer.
19.Checkalllinesandfittingsforleaks.
20. Continueto pumpaviationgasolinethroughsystemuntil cleanfuelflows intocontaminated
container.
21.
Reinstallfilterelementsinfirewallmountedfuelfiltersandsafety.
22.
Reconnectfuellinesbetweenfuelflowtransmittersandenginedrivenfuelpumps.
23.Checksystemfor leaks.
24.
Reinstallbottomwingrootfairings,fuelcell,andtankaccesscovers.
25.
Reinstallenginecowlings.
26.
Fillaffectedfuelcellswith30gallonsoflowestoctaneaviationgasolineavailable.(Add
onequartof
120aviationgrademineraloil to every100gallonsoffuel) Runengines.Observeallcautionswhenoperatingengines.
